I finally managed to listen to the entire album and I love it! I heard "Save you" on ABCs Private Practice and it totally blew me away. I ordered the latest MPJ album immediately and loved it. I think I might love the new one even more and not just because it includes "Save You".
I like the melodies of the news songs and the voice - oh that voice - and the lyrics are beautifully written as well. My favourites at the moment "Save You" (of course) and "Motherless Child".

Each song is beautifully crafted- moving, full of soul, hopeful. His music keeps being refined and inspired, so it draws on former themes in new ways. I just wish he would tour in New Mexico!

Unreal - best songwriter around! Such a cool thing to follow MPJ's evolution as an artist. Lyrically unmatched and keeps cranking out incredible melodies. The show last week was fantastic - just wish MPJ had more time to showcase the new album.

Nice album, really refreshing to hear. I first heard of MPJ on Kyle XY. I just had to find out what that amazing song (Save You) was. Glad I did.

What a great show! Matthew got it off to a great start and then Sixpence None the Richer finished up rocking the house.

Sixpence I knew, but I was really floored by Matthew's performance. I really hadn't been aware of his talent prior to this show, but became an instant fan! Way to go Matthew! Best of luck!

first heard of mpj on noisetrade just a few days ago. could be the best "new" musician i've heard in the last few years. the new album is ear candy - can't wait for its release.

I was privileged to be at this show, and get to meet MPJ and have some great fellowship with him afterwards. The interaction between Matthew, Chris, and Tyler was amazing. We hope to bring Matthew back to Acoustic Jeremiah again.

Kei, thanks for posting your thoughts. My favorite song of the moment is "Amelia." "Feels Like Letting Go" is growing on me, but, I have to admit, I am so used to the acoustic version it is difficult for me to make the transition. Since each version (acoustic vs. electric) is performed differently, I wonder how challenging it is for Matthew to keep things straight in his own mind? Maybe I'll get around to asking one day.

It was a rocking show. Matthew played electric guitar for most of the show. Good to see and hear "rock MPJ" as he stated. Smith's Olde Bar is an old, dark, nostalgic venue, condusive for a good rock show. The new songs are awsome, but my favorite of the night was an electric guitar rendition with full band of Feels Like Letting Go, which is still one of my favorite songs.
