Each Sunday morning, 929 dave fm brings you Acoustic Sunrise - a toned down collection of vintage music, coffee house specialties, and unplugged versions of your favorite dave fm artists.  Then back in the spring we brought you Acoustic Sunset, dave fm’s live music series in the Smyrna Market Village.

It was so much fun, it’s back for a fall series!  And we’re kicking it all off on Sunday, September 21.

Wind down your weekend each Sunday beginning at 4:00pm with music from local and emerging artists.

You love his song “Save You” and he’s a hometown boy (even though he lives in Nashville now) and 929 dave fm is proud to have Matthew Perryman Jones kicking off the Acoustic Sunset Fall Series.  Katie Herzig will open the show.

Bring your friends and family, and join dave fm for Acoustic Sunset in the Smyrna Market Village.  A free, all ages event!

Atlanta Star Songwriter Series: Brief Rundown

Atlanta Star Songwriter SeriesWednesday night’s concert at Eddie’s Attic was part of the Atlanta Star Songwriter Series. Performing in the round were Evan McHugh, Adrianne, Jen Foster, and Matthew. Each artist played five songs. Matthew opened his set with Meghan’s Song, which was followed by an acoustic version of his new tune, Without a Clue. It was a clean and powerful rendition. It appears that Evan McHugh may have felt the same way, as he was following Matthew throughout the rounds and joked about it. Somehow stemming from his comment(s) came the suggestion that all the artists, for their third song, play the first that had ever written. Matthew played an upbeat song entitled (I believe) Sunshine Heart and commented that he wrote it around the age of 15. Relative to his age, and the snippet that he let us hear (first verse and chorus), it was good. He followed it with Refuge, Save You, and Beneath the Silver Moon—a fitting end to a good night.

If you were at the concert, share your thoughts in the forums!
