Matthew Perryman Jones’ career as a singer/songwriter began in 1997. In 2000, he made his move to Nashville to pursue his career full-time. It was there that he recorded his first solo album, Nowhere Else But Here. The album was greeted to warm reviews and was followed a few years later (2003) by the release of For the Road (EP). In 2006, with the help of producer Neilson Hubbard, Matthew released his third album, Throwing Punches in the Dark. The album, a departure from his previous works, both musically and lyrically, has been praised by both critics and fans for its emotion and energy. His newest album, Swallow the Sea, is scheduled to be released this fall.
